Podcasting and RSS

Hello,

With Podcasting growing rapidly, we noticed that IE 7 seems to overlook this:

1) How does IE 7 identify a RSS Podcast? Or, any RSS feed? Is there a
desktop screen notification that informs the user that new news or podcasts
have arrived?

2) Where do the audio and video files go when downloaded?

3) How are the Podcast audio and video files played? Can we select to run
them Windows Media? QuickTime? RealAudio?

4) Can Podcast audio and video files be played automatically once downloaded?

Food for thought?

An ancient newsgroup for IE4 is not a good place to post for IE7

I see in http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7/default.mspx that
the recommended newsgroup is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In a proper newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

If you must use a web interface:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general
