upgrading

OK. I'm computer illiterate, so we'll get that fact out of the way.

Trying to sell on Ebay and was told needed to upgrade (I'm 4.0). So I go to
Microsoft site and I'm totally overwhelmed. Spent over 2 hours searching on
how and where to upgrade my 4.0 and I have no clue.

Can anyone help?

Microsoft don't have anything older than IE6.
