Downloading IE 5.5

I just have a general question about downloading IE 5.5 to
my home PC. I have Windows 95 with IE 4.0. I have been
having problems getting on to certain websites (believe it
or not, even Hotmail) because what I believe to be my now
insufficient browser. Can I just download IE 5.5 over my
existing IE 4.0 or is there anything else that I need to
do prior to this ? I'm a novice when it comes to these
aspects, so I'm naturally a bit leery about messing
anything up.

You can download and install IE 5.5 directly over IE4.
